Front-engine, rear-wheel drive used to be all the rage for sports cars in the past, but now with turbochargers, hot hatches and tricked-out differentials, there doesn't seem to be any room left for the classic formula. Toyota's 86 is now eight years old, but manages to present a strong case for a back-to-basics, affordable coupe.
